Stream 1 process of the

Entrepreneur program of Québec

  • A. Signing of the agreement
  • B. Evolve your business plan. The first step we work on together is to take your business plan and align it with local government, market and immigration requirements and guidelines. This adapted business plan will be used in your immigration application, as well as in your incubator application.
  • C. Validate your project. Incubators have set up a selection committee composed of experts and experienced entrepreneurs to validate your project and ensure that your business plan meets the high standards of the Ministry of Immigration (MIFI). This committee will work with you and make recommendations that must be observed and followed before obtaining approval and proceeding to the next step, the immigration application supervised by our legal department.
  • D. Gathering of documents and submission of the application to the Quebec immigration authorities (“MIFI”). At this point, you have a viable business plan, now it’s time to focus on the rest of your immigration application. Conexa’s immigration legal team will complete your immigration file and will need your cooperation to fill in any gaps in the information requested from immigration authorities. At the same time, the incubator will complete a formal offer of service, required in the application.
  • E. The examination of your file by the authorities. The immigration authorities will review your file and assign a file number.
  • F. Selection interview and/or possible trip to Quebec. You can be invited to attend a selection interview in Montreal with the help of Conexa’s lawyer. You can also visit Montreal/Quebec City to explore the local market, all supervised by Conexa.
  • G. Decision. After review, the immigration officer will either accept your file as is or ask for clarification. In this case, Conexa’s legal team will assist in answering questions to ensure that the file is accepted. The immigration officer may also refuse the case. In this case, if Conexa’s legal department believes that MIFI has not met its obligations, an administrative appeal will be filed to reverse the outcome at no additional cost.
  • H. Submission of the Application for Canadian Permanent Residence to IRCC. Your lawyer will then use this CSQ to prepare and file your application for Canadian permanent residence and work permit if you wish to settle in Quebec while your application is being processed. Your lawyer will continue to be your legal representative during this last step with the federal immigration authorities (IRCC).
  • I. Visitor Visa. If a visa is required for a visit to Montreal/Quebec, Conexa’s legal team will apply for a visitor’s visa for you, at no additional cost. If you wish to come to Montreal/Quebec to work, they can also apply for a work visa, also at no extra cost.
  • J. Implementation of a business project. When you arrive in Quebec, all the services of the incubator start to be offered. From a personal point of view, we will help you, if needed, to find a temporary or permanent home, schools for your children, suggestions and recommendations of all kinds. From a business perspective, you now have access to your own office in the historic center of Montreal, as well as assistance with financing, coaching, networking, business development, etc.
  • K. One year of access to various professional business services. Over the next 12 months, you will go through the incubation program. Our team will allocate all its resources to ensure that your business plan is converted into reality. At the same time, Conexa’s legal team will apply for your permanent residency with the Canadian immigration authorities.
  • L. Alumni Conexa: You will be part of our alumni group in Québec and share your experience with future entrepreneurs.
